THANET SHELTER AND SUPPORT - 2021'S chosen charity

 

Every year, 24 residents in Ramsgate volunteer to decorate their door, window, porch or front garden in aid of a charity of their choice. Ramsgate Advent Doors always supports a local charity. It's a fun event that sees a decorated 'door' every evening between 6.30 - 8pm from 1st to 24th December for people to walk past or stand around and enjoy. Often our hosts decide to offer a drink or some nibbles but they are not obliged to. It's just an opportunity to get out and meet friends old and new in this winter season whilst raising money for a good cause.

 

This year, as in previous years, the chosen charity is the Thanet Shelter and Support that operates out of Ramsgate. This offers much needed support for the homeless and needy of Ramsgate and Thanet. People have given so generously in previous years and I know you all will again - the money makes a real difference.

This fundraiser will stay live for 2 weeks after Christmas and then all monies will be paid to the Thanet Shelter and Support.  You can find out more about their work - https://thanetshelterandsupport.org
