My name is Ben Holloway and I am the Head Coach of Dickinson Wrestling.

The John Dickinson School is a public school in Wilmington, Delaware serving 6th-12th grade students and is a part of the Red Clay Consolidated School District. Our high school wrestling program barely survived the Covid-19 pandemic and we have been working hard to rebuild.

During the 2021-22 school year, my first year with the program, we competed with just 4 wrestlers. Last year during the 2022-23 season, we had 18 wrestlers on the squad and were able to consistently fill 12 of 14 weight classes. We finished the season with a record of 8-5, the program's first winning season in over 20 years!

For the upcoming season, we aim to continue upon last years' success and work to build a winning culture for years to come. Our goal of $2,500 is aimed to supply our wrestlers with equipment for 2023-24 season, cover entry fees for tournaments, and allow us to host an end of season banquet. All additional funds we receive beyond our goal will go into the team account to supply the team for next year (with hopes to start a middle school program).
