Eagle Scout Project Fundraiser
Donation protected
My name is Clayton Drown and I am a Life Scout with Troop 372B working on my Eagle Project. Scouting is a huge part of my life. I have served as a Den Chief for a little over a year with our associated Cub Scout Pack. Throughout my Scouting career, I have served in multiple positions within my Troop. The highest of which was Senior Patrol Leader. This summer, I will be a counselor at a boy scout summer camp. Volunteering has also been important to me as a scout. I volunteer at our local nature center, at our church with the Feed the Kids' backpack program, and in the tech booth during worship services.
I am beginning to raise funds for my Eagle Scout Project, which will create direct access to the Outdoor Sanctuary, along with an altar and large cross in the Outdoor Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church. Donated funds will be utilized to purchase the following materials:
1. Supplies to build the bridge
2. Supplies to build steps
3. Supplies to build handrails along the path
4. Mulch for the path
5. Materials to build the altar
6. Materials to build 12-foot cross
7. Safety glasses and gloves
8. Other consumable supplies
As part of my project, I will be clearing brush and creating a new path. The bridge that is part of the project, will span a ditch. The altar and the cross that I will build will both be removable so they can be taken out of the elements as needed.
First United Methodist Church has been a part of the West Lafayette community for 150 years. This project is important to me because I attend church there and I want to make a difference at the church that will last for years. Please help me create a lasting impact at First United Methodist Church and the Greater Lafayette Community!
* Anyone who donates $100 or more can choose to have a donor/sponsorship plaque placed on the bridge.
The plaques are 1"x3" and made out of anodized aluminum. The plaque may be in honor of, in memory of, dedicated to a loved one, or on behalf of you and your family.
Any raised funds not used in the project will go to the First United Methodist Church Foundation for their support and work in the community.
