I am SGM (Retired) Kevin L. Shepherd. Nancy has asked me to help her through these trying times.
I am reaching out to all of you for help getting Randy to his final resting place.
The sudden and tragic passing of our battle buddy has left many things unsaid and unspoken. Some things have also been left to be taken care of. As you might understand the systems we work with are sometimes cumbersome and slow to respond to our requests. Nancy is asking for our help to lift the burden of the funeral costs. I am asking for your help to get our battle buddy to his final resting place.
We have planned the visitation for Wednesday, 2 November – from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Gearhart Funeral home in Anoka, 552 EAST RIVER ROAD, ANOKA, MN 55303 (http://www.dignitymemorial.com/gearhart-anoka-funeral-home/en-us/index.page ). We will gather at the American Legion (Edward B. Cutter Post 102, http://www.anokalegion.org/ ) in Anoka after the visitation concludes. The funeral will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, the next day (3 November) with a viewing from 12:00 – 1:00, the funeral will begin at 1:00 PM and the procession will move to the National Cemetery immediately after that.
All the funds raised through donations will be used to pay for the immediate funeral costs. I will donate the remaining funds to the Fisher House Foundation.
