Randall’s Esophageal Cancer Fight for his life

We recently got a diagnosis of recurrent cancer. Randall had esophageal cancer back in 2020 and had to undergo extensive treatment but was in remission. He had 2/3 of his esophagus removed and reconstructed from his stomach. He spend 6 days in ICU after the surgery then went through more chemo after. He has battled with issues from post surgical changes since then. He has recently been diagnosed with recurrent esophageal cancer stage 4. Our oncologist has given him a timeline and prognosis based on statistics that is not what we wanted to hear. I’m still keeping hope and praying we can get the right treatment. Statistics can be beat! He is unable to keep anything down including fluids and is losing weight fast. Our oncologist has come up with a plan to get things rolling and we will have many upcoming appointments. The oncologist says with proper treatment he has about 3 years with us. He will also be doing chemo as well and has to be sent home with a pump for 46 hours every two weeks after chemo infusion at the clinic. We will also be traveling to a cancer treatment facility in Houston in June. We anticipate multiple trips and me having to take unpaid time off work. Our main treatment center is no longer in network with our insurance either. If you would like to help, but are unable to donate, thoughts and prayers are much appreciated as well.
