Rand needs a little help from his friends
Donation protected
It is with profound sadness that I'm creating this campaign for Rand Leach, my brother-in-law and dear friend.
Rand was recently diagnosed with terminal, stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is giving it a good fight but the battle is taking its toll on him.
Rand hasn't always taken the easy road in this life, struggling with adversities, but overcoming them all. It was through these adversities that he gained the knowledge and compassion to perform his dream job, helping those struggling with some of the same adversities that he was able to overcome. He was hitting his stride, thriving, giving back, helping.... as he was helped, at the time that he was diagnosed.
We are unable to buy Rand more time, but we can make the time that he has left easier. All the donations will go towards his living expenses and medical bills, to relieve that burden from him and his son's shoulders.
Also on the "Good Days", his wish is to create lasting memories with his son and adorable grandson.
Any unused donations will be donated to Michael's Place a nonprofit grieving support center designed to ease the impact of loss.
And when his journey finally ends, the cancer will not have won because with his passing, he will gain his final wish, to be reunited with his cherished son, Ryan.
