Rand's helping hand on his Cancer Journey.

My name is Theresa. I am starting a go fund me page for our dear friend, Rand . He has and is a hardworking creative. He is wearing a Cancer suit he made marking his tumors. Here is his story.

October 2021, Rand was diagnosed with Follicular lymphoma. It was determined at that time that it was contained and non-threatening, stage 3A

October 2022, the cancer had grown beyond the lymphatic system with multiple lesions/tumors appearing on his scalp. Bloodwork was coming back normal and organ function seemed normal as well. Treatment was determined unnecessary at this time but diagnosis was elevated to stage 4.

January 2023, left leg tripled in size, cause: location of 2 large tumors and lymphedema. Treatments of immunotherapy, chemotherapy and Neulasta started.

So, why raise funds? As you know cancer therapy is expensive. Rand has insurance and has had throughout his journey. Unfortunately insurance does not cover work missed for tests, scans, recuperation etc. Having exhausted his PTO, it was his credit card that picked up the balance of life expenses. Car, fuel, groceries, housing and the like.

When his state-mandated insurance coverage thru his employer ran out after 90 days, his entire premium had to be paid out-of-pocket, not to mention the copays etc..

It’s a difficult time for Rand. He’s perpetually positive and trying to keep smiling. His body is healing but the financial burden seems daunting. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to cover his expenses and allow him to truly be able to start fresh and healthy. Anything and everything is accepted graciously. Thank you.
