My name is Elisa Peterson, and I am the wife of Randy Peterson. Randy died in a motor vehicle accident, where he was struck on his bicycle and killed last night February 4, 2024.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very private and that a go fund me is not something that I would ever turn to. Randy and I have been through many great losses but together we have managed to get through anything. The past couple of years have been tough. In March 2023 after losing what we thought was everything, Randy was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. We have lost our jobs, cars, home, our health, but no matter what life has thrown at us, we never ever lost each other. Randy was taken out of work and we have been currently waiting for Social Security benefits. This has left money tight for us along with our 4 children. More recently we moved to help a family member and due to an unhealthy environment, we have lost our housing and have been searching for an alternative. Although it seems like we have lost so much, we would do again just to have him here with us. Randy would jokingly always tell me that it could always get worse, but this time I will have to disagree.

Right now I am putting my pride aside because my heart is broken and I know that no matter good or bad, Randy has touched the lives of so many. His heart was so big and

he cared so much for others.

Yes, the loss of Randy is a great burden to all of us. But the facts are that we were struggling even before his death. I’m only asking that if Randy has made an impression in your life, if he has touched your life in any way, please help cover the cost of his funeral services so that his life can be remembered and he can finally be laid to rest.
