Hi all,
As some of you may have heard, our friend Randy Freiberg was bitten by a Rattlesnake on Monday, July 3rd while out hiking. The snake bit him in the left forearm, which is probably the worst place to get bit as the venom travels straight up to the heart. Randy suffered severe pain as Rattlesnake bites constrict blood vessels which can lead to internal bleeding, amputation and death. Luckily he was in close proximity to Los Robles Hospital where they admitted him and administered antivenom. Unfortunately, this caused him to go into anaphylactic shock. They then had to treat for that as well. He was in the Intensive Care Unit for several days and was finally able to come home yesterday.
He is doing much better but it is going to be a long road to recovery. As you know, Randy is self-employed and not able to go back to work yet. His friends and family have agreed to have a fund set up for him to help with medical costs and household expenses until he is fully recovered. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Most importantly please pray for Randy to make a full and speedy recovery.
Thank you and God Bless!
