Randy Garibay Jr. Medical Fund

Donation protected
The Garibay Family humbly asks for your financial support for our son, brother, uncle, and husband to Maria – Randy Garibay, Jr. Randy was in the hospital from December 30, 2023 until February 18, 2024. He went in to the Emergency Room with extreme pain in his stomach. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis. He was admitted to Methodist Hospital and had emergency surgery a week later on an infected abscess, perforated colon, and a stomach ulcer. Randy was in ICU for nearly a week. Countless tests, contrast dyes for screenings, pain medications, and broad-spectrum antibiotics also caused Randy to need emergency dialysis. His kidneys were becoming damaged. He has battled severe infections. Nutrition and physical activity have been challenging for Randy. He has been in the rehab unit for weeks regaining his ability to walk through physical therapy and occupational therapy. Randy was given a temporary colostomy and he will need future surgery to reverse it. He will be released from the hospital soon and he will need home health and medical supplies. He will also need to see doctors and specialists as he continues to recover.
Randy has been an active person. Returning to work will be a challenge for the coming months. He is a Facilities & Maintenance Manager at Port San Antonio. He works on site. He often climbs 40-foot ladders and climbs on roofs fixing and maintaining the facilities at Port San Antonio. Randy is also a musician and recording artist. He plays bass, guitar, and he is a vocalist. In addition to all of this Randy and his wife Maria, an educator in SAISD, care for her 90-year-old mom Rachel who lives with them. Please pray for Rachel and she is in hospice care at home.
We thank you in advance for your generosity. And we thank you for your continued prayers for Randy as he battles his way back to health.

God bless you all. – Michelle Garibay-Carey (Randy's Sister)
