Randy Hamilton Memorial Fund

On April 16, 2022, Randy suffered a tragic accident, where he fell, hitting his head on a tile floor while at home in Cedar Hill, TX. His niece Melissa, called the paramedics and applied pressure until they arrived. Doctors notified her the next morning that he had a major brain injury and they did not know what his long term would look like. What she thought was going to be a long night in the ER, turned into 2 ½ months of fighting for Randy. Randy was strong and we knew he would fight his hardest to live. After 3 brain surgeries and one shunt placement/removal, on June 16th he was cleared to be released to a nearby nursing home, as he still needed 24hr care. Melissa and her sons visited several times a week, although Randy was unconscious. On June 30th, Randy was rushed to a nearby hospital for difficulty breathing and a high fever. Upon arrival they found he had Pneumonia and started antibiotics and oxygen, immediately. Over the next several days, he was showing signs of improvement and we were thrilled to get him back to the nursing home and continue his recovery. Unfortunately, in the early hours of July 4th, his fight ended. Randy took his last breath and crossed over to be with loved ones he had missed so very much. Although we are saddened by his death, we are comforted knowing he is with those we love and miss and know he is at peace. Randy did not have any life insurance so all costs are left for the family to take care of. We would love to have a Celebration of Life to honor him and allow others to pay their respects, so donations are appreciated.
