Randy Ware

Randy was a long time veteran of law enforcement and entered service with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Mike Lawrence on February 7, 1985 and worked full time until February of 2014 when he left the sheriff's office and transferred to the County Auditor's office where he managed the inventory of all county department's physical assets and property. Randy continued on at the sheriff's office as a Reserve Deputy after retiring from full time work at the Auditor's Office a couple of years ago. Randy participated in department functions, was a valuable source of technical information about radios and computers, helping each new administration understand the workings of systems of the sheriff's office, ultimately serving a total of 39 years with the ACSO. Randy loved being apart of the community, he helped with the boy scouts, local ham radio club, pickleball team, Blue Knights MC, and so so much more. Randy had a gentle nature and was loved by all, he will be missed by all that knew him. Visitation will be held at Carroway Funeral home (Lufkin, Tx) on 02/09/24 from 6-8pm and funeral services will take place at First Baptist Church (Lufkin, Tx) at 10am.
