UPDATE #2: Thank you again to everyone who has contributed. Randy’s obituary is now posted:

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Recreation Center, 296 Clinton Street, Binghamton, NY 13905. A private burial will be held in the spring.

UPDATE #1: Our beloved Randy peacefully departed this earthly plane on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Georgia, his wife of 21 years, was by his side as their wedding song played.

The family greatly appreciates the outpouring of love and support.

A celebration of life is being planned and we will provide the details once they are available.

All donations will be used to cover medical, funeral, and family expenses.

Hello, my name is Shanise Kent and I am fundraising for my brother, Randall (Randy) Wimberly.

Randy, a beloved husband (to Georgia), father (to Jelani, Kamilah and Malik), son, brother, and friend, was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in January 2023.

He has been fighting valiantly for the last year, but recent setbacks have kept him hospitalized and unable to work. Randy is self-employed, he owns and operates Jelkam Physical Therapy, PLLC, which is primarily serves older adults in the Southern Tier.

Those who know Randy, know that he believes in giving to the world, and rarely takes. He and his family have been very private about his battle with cancer, because they never want to be a burden on others.

But the time has come for Randy and Georgia to lean on their family, friends, and community.

We are asking, if you are able, to contribute to help offset his medical expenses and his family’s living expenses (that he is unable to cover while out of work).

Thank you very much for your support.
