Randy Chang Medical Expenses

Aloha Everyone,
Randy Kaulana Leiataua Chang is one of Southern California's most knowledgeable Kumu Hula (Hula Instructor). He has taught and mentored countless people in the Pacific Islander community over the years.
Recently, he was diagnosed with diabetes among other health issues. Last month, as a complication of his diabetes, he suffered from a foot ulcer that ripped open and became infected. The infection spread throughout his foot, eating his flesh and causing a severe fever. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment and needed surgery, which included shaving all of the skin off of his foot until the doctors could see his muscle. After surgery, the infection continued to spread until he was in the hospital a second time. We are thankful that his foot was not amputated since there is still some circulation in his leg and foot, but it has had a difficult time healing.
He is currently taking medication and cannot walk for the next 6 months to allow his foot to heal and the skin to close. Because of his inability to walk, he is in need of home care. Currently his children and ex-wife are taking care of him and his meals. Once his foot is healed, he will have to begin a totally new lifestyle to maintain his health.
We are asking for the public's help with his medical expenses and future medication needs. We are currently asking for $25,000 to help contribute to and start his new lifestyle. The money will help us be able to purchase the right foods and medications that he will need as well as help us pay for his medical bills.
My family truly appreciates whatever you can contribute to help support him and get back to normal. He is a strong person no doubt. But financially we could use some help as he is unable to walk or provide for himself at this time.
Mahalo for your time and love!
