Randy's Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Selina, and I speak on behalf of a large and loving community. Randy means a lot to all of us in many different ways, but I find it easiest to speak to my personal story.
I've always known who Randy was, years before I ever met him in person. When my dad was determined to start losing weight, he began going to the gym and taking Randy's classes. Every Tuesday and Wednesday, my dad would return home, drenched in sweat but smiling, ready to tell me how difficult that day's class was.
I'm pretty sure that it was eighth grade when I gave in to my dad's wishes and attended my first Challenge class. It was beyond tough, and I left halfway through to hide (die) in the women's room. I was about 14 and correspondingly thought I was invincible, so when "old people" outlasted me in intense cardio, it was a major reality check.
But I came back- I have no clue why because I predictably about died again- but I came back, and back, and back. And each time I was amazed by two things. First, I was shocked by the things I was capable of when I pushed my mind. More than once I wanted to give up or give a half-effort, and more than once Randy saw me and encouraged me to continue to push. Second, I found this supportive community that Randy had built within the class, and I became thankful for what Randy had done for my father and me.
Randy pushes the people around him to never limit themselves and to help others do the same. My hope is that everyone who Randy has touched helps him now as he faces this difficult battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation! :)
All funds will be withdrawn by Randy's partner, Tony.
