This is Some Bull

Hi, I’m Taylor Hayes, milk plant operator at Ran-Lew Dairy in Snow Camp, NC. For the past seven years, I’ve been working with and learning from legendary dairy farmer, Randy Lewis. He’s both my mentor and dear friend. Here's a great clip of Randy.

Randy is one of the last dairy farmers in Alamance County, and he has been farming his family’s 5th generation dairy farm his entire life. Milking ~50 cows, Ran-Lew Dairy allows milk drinkers to enjoy milk “the way it used to be” with cream on top.

Early Sunday morning, May 7, Randy was attacked by a bull in the pasture. He suffered broken ribs, punctures in both lungs, and broken bones in his face, back, and collarbone. Randy was life-flighted to UNC Hospital where he’s in the surgical ICU awaiting extensive medical care and reconstructive surgery.

We are reeling from the shock and worry for our friend.

All funds raised here are for the benefit of Ran-Lew Dairy owner Randy Lewis.

We are looking forward to a celebration when Randy is back on his feet. Although a barn dance may not be in the cards for a while, this will be an opportunity to gather in person, share a meal, and tell our favorite Randy stories.
