Ranomafana Biodiversity Posters and Forest Walks

Hi! My name is Jessie Jordan and I am a wildlife artist based in Madagascar.  My mission is to raise awareness and compassion towards biodiversity and wildlife conservation through creative services that benefit local communities surrounding Ranomafana National Park. 

Currently, there are no known illustrations that showcase more than a few of the unique plant and animal species found in Ranomafana National Park all together. Below is my sketch for the Biodiversity of Ranomafana artwork featuring over 50 endemic species, and then a detail shot highlighting a few of the completed species illustrations in full-color.

The goal of this project is to increase awareness about the endangered ecosystems found within Ranomafana National Park through educational materials such as posters, prints, and eventually shirts, stickers, coloring books, puzzles and much more.

Many children in the villages surrounding the National Park have never been to the forest or seen a lemur in the wild. I feel that it's important to protect Madagascar’s natural areas, and to connect people with nature. By pre-ordering a poster now, it helps to make a difference by inspiring and connecting the next generation of Malagasy children to be park stewards. Proceeds from this campaign will allow us to donate posters to local classrooms, and take children into the forest with professional wildlife experts. Posters and experiences like this help aid children in interpreting complex and delicate relationships within the biodiverse ecosystems of Ranomafana.

By pre-ordering a signed copy of Biodiversity of Ranomafana poster, a second copy will be donated to local classrooms and educational spaces. Once our goal is reached, we will be able to deliver posters and provide field trips for local children to experience the forest. Every donation over $15 will receive a signed print in the mail. Size of the print depends on donation size. Donations over $35 receive a signed and numbered poster print with a handwritten thank you note.
