Rare Stallion Vet Bill After Hit by Car

CWH The Sea King, or "King" is part of the Critically Endangered breed of Colonial Spanish horses (as designated by the Livestock Conservancy). There are less than 2000 breeding individuals left of the entire breed. His particular strain, Corolla Banker, has less than 150 horses left and only one maternal line. King is also the only Corolla Banker stallion available outside the East Coast. He is proven in Show, Games, Exposition, Trail, and a proven sire.
On 6/18/22, near 11:30 PM, a faulty gate lock let him and other horses out of a wooded acre+ paddock. The horses crossed and ran down the insanely (almost interstate-worthy) busy highway. The other horses made it to safety and were caught. King did not. It was a two-hour search before he was found with his skull partially crushed from being hit by a vehicle. The driver left, but the debris was left behind.
King must have his right eye removed and have reconstruction surgery. After surgery, board, and medication it will likely cost around $2000...But that is an early estimate that could change depending on what happens.
As his owner, I'm sad to say that I'm on disability and as such I have no savings. Any help to pay for and save my "Sea Horse" would be greatly appreciated by us both.
Thank you.
