Raul and Maria Barraza Fire Relief

On the evening of Monday, December 4, 2017, the Thomas Fire broke out and began to ravage cities within Ventura County including Santa Paula where Raul and Maria Barraza call home. Sadly, there home is a loss and they will need to start over. Raul and Maria are long time members of the Ventura Gem and Mineral Society where Raul heads the Pebble Pup Program. This is how I have known them over the past 2 years. Raul and Maria are both gentle souls who share their love of gems, minerals and fossils with the children of our program. He has personally inspired my daughter in her quest for knowledge about collecting and studying rocks, gems, minerals and fossils. They are currently staying with friends trying to regroup and make decisions on the next steps for their future. Any help and show of support is much appreciated. As specifics of their needs arise I will post, but for now providing them with funds to support them is a wonderful first step in the healing process. Thank you.
