Raven’s Memorial

Hello family and Friends, as you may or may not know my sister raven was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in September of 2017. After rounds of chemo and radiation the doctor suggest she has a bone marrow transplant in hopes to cure her leukemia. In February of this year she was found a bone marrow match and they started the process of her transplant on March 6th. Raven went through a extremely rough time but a couple months later she was on the right track and soon to be released to the village where our father would take care of her while she progressed for another month. Unfortunately the day she was supposed to be released she was coughing horribly. She wasn’t able to breath on her own so the doctors put her in an induced coma while they treated what they thought was a fungal infection in her lungs. After two weeks she was breathing on her own again and back on the road to recovery but couldn’t stand our walk due to the coma messing up her nervous system. The doctors even tested her for leukemia and she was CANCER FREE! Time goes by and with physical therapy she was trying to gain strength back to stand and eventually walk. My sister was very discouraged by all the recent events but she never gave up hope, nobody did. As she progressed slowly, on June 18th she was placed in ICU again. Doctors said she couldn’t breath again and they induced a coma and placed the ventilator in on 100% oxygen. Within days even being on 100% oxygen she was only getting 90% and blood pressure was very low. Doctors said they couldn’t identify the organisms in her lungs and by then her kidneys were already failing. Within two days her heart stopped and as she was gone and was lost someone very special to us. No body ever expected this to happen as Raven had gone through what we thought was the worst possible. She was so strong, brave and a hero in all of our eyes. It is with great sadness I create this fundraiser in hopes to provide a nice memorial for my beautiful sister. She was a great daughter, sister, niece, cousin and auntie. All financial burden falls on our father who is retired on social security. Right now we have just enough funds for my sisters cremation but she deserves much more. Please help in anyway you can even if it’s just sharing this post to help give my sister the memorial service she deserves. Thank you for reading, god bless
