Celebration of Life - Ravyn Bledsoe

Ravyn transitioned to eternal life on April 16, 2019.  She was a longtime Lupus sufferer and a true warrior.  She battled this terrible disease for many years and participated in many Lupus awareness activities including being an Ambassador for the Fighting For Her Life organization.  Her strong faith in God gave her the strength to gallantly fight this disease through every flareup.  Although she experienced complications that resulted in the loss of parts of her fingers and toes and permanent lung damage, she still continued to believe in God’s will and stayed positive. 


Ravyn would always uplift others with her positive spirit and strong faith no matter what.  She always used to say,  “I have Lupus but Lupus doesn’t have me” and “A Queen will always turn pain into power!”  


To know Ravyn was to truly love her and her beautiful spirit.  Last year God blessed Anthony and Ravyn with a pregnancy.  Doctors advised that although Lupus and pregnancy were high risk, it was possible to have a safe delivery.  Ravyn’s pregnancy progressed normally until she developed more lung complications in early January 2019.  An emergency caesarian was performed as the baby was in distress.  Ravyn improved but was left with more damage to her lungs.  Doctors advised that she needed a lung transplant, but her condition would not allow her to qualify. 


Ravyn leaves behind her husband, Anthony and 3 month old daughter, Skyla.  Skyla will never know her mother, but many have pledged to make sure that she knows who her mother was and how much she wanted and loved her.
