Support James Hamilton's Family

Our friend, James Hamilton, died unexpectedly on Monday the 22nd of July 2024 at the age of 42. He leaves behind two young children, Cassius who is 10 years old and Genevieve who is only 5 years old.

James was a loving father with a great sense of fun. He was passionate about music and had a wicked sense of humour, two traits that have clearly passed down to both kids. We desperately want them to retain this joy for life. As a friend he was so much fun to be around, always laughing and joking, and wanting the best for everyone. There was never a dull moment to be had when spending time with him.

The family is understandably shocked by this loss and unfortunately not prepared for all that is happening at this time. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but coping with a sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. With such an unexpected death, the family is left in a terrible situation. James was the sole earner for the family and had no life insurance policy. Not only will their father’s death affect them emotionally, but their lives will now have to drastically change owing to this loss of financial support.

With this fundraiser, we would like to show our support to Cassius, Genevieve, and their mum, Debi, by helping them cover unexpected costs due to this sudden tragedy and to provide for the children’s future. Both children would benefit greatly from professional help to come to terms with their loss. We have already sought out help from a child psychologist and would like to raise more funds to continue sessions with this. The rest of the money will be set aside for the children to help them through the coming days, months, and years. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated.
