Ray (Bones) Salazar Celebration of Life
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of December 4th, 2024, Raymond Joseph Salazar of Antioch, California, Evergreen, Colorado, and the world wide, was Honor-Walked to his last breath before giving the gift of donation so that others may live. At four months shy of his 40th birthday, we can say with our whole hearts that Ray was taken from us too soon, but we can also say that he lived more than any of us in his 39 years. Ray’s love for others matched his personality in size and breadth, reaching far and wide in so many ways. To know Ray was to love Ray, and his effects on this world in the time he was here are profound. It is almost fitting that Raymond started his journey home on Thanksgiving. If there is anything that his family has heard the most in the last week, it is just how grateful and full of thanks everyone in Ray’s life was, just for the presence of him. We will all miss him so very much.
Because of his sudden passing, the Salazar family is faced with the difficult task of arranging his cremation and his Celebration of Life. We are reaching out to social services to try and secure a little funding help, but have had to acknowledge that we will need help giving him the dignified and heartfelt send-off Ray deserves.
We are reaching out to you, our village, our friends, our family, our community for support in honoring Ray’s memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial burdens we are facing moving forward, as we try to manage the cost of his passing and plan a celebration fitting of Ray’s incredible life. Funds raised will go towards Ray’s cremation costs, and a memorial party that will be planned for the month of April, 2025.
We also appreciate all of the messages and kindness we’ve received during his difficult time. Please know your prayers have been felt by us all, and every single touch of compassion and sympathy has truly made this time less painful. We are very grateful for you all.
Thank you for your generosity, for your love, and for everything you all have done to ease the burden in our hearts.
