Ray Gardner

Ray Gardner is an Army Veteran, a former deputy with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and a retired Deputy with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Ray has dedicated his life to serving his country and his community. He and his wife Marlys have raised two outstanding boys. Harrison followed his fathers footsteps into the Army and Rhys is a junior in Weisse High School in Pflugerville.

Ray is also a member of the Gunslingers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. He has been a dedicated brother and has always stepped up for anyone needing a hand. Ray enjoys riding motorcycles with the club, going to club meetings, and he is very much loved by his local chapter and chapters all around the US.

As many of you know Ray was diagnosed with leukemia a number of years ago. As is normal for Ray, he kept this to himself for a long time. Last September the leukemia progressed to the point Ray began daily and monthly treatments. As you can imagine their out of pocket costs and co-pays have piled up to the point it has put a great strain on the family finances. Coming from private and stoic bloodines, you will never hear a complaint from Ray or Marlys.

We have known Ray and Marlys for 13 and 23 years and they are family to us. Ray and Marlys have always been there for Linda and me. We want to return the favor to this deserving couple as they would never in a milion years ask for help.
