Ray Martin Dirt Track Memorial

The time has finally come that we will finally be bringing the orange #99 back to the where it originated from.

For the good part of the 90’s the Martin family proudly called Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek our home track. Where the late Raymond “Ray” Martin drove the infamous “go fast orange” #99 car. The car and driver raced many of races and took home plenty of victories. A home where family time was spent and countless memories were made.

That same “go fast orange” #99 is now still serving the same purpose down in North Carolina . Ray’s son Brandon now is the driver. His amazing wife Rachel their girls are his proud grandstand cheerleaders. The generation of racing carries on.

Since Ray was called home to sit at the throne of Jesus back in 2014 the family has had this plan in the works.

Potomac speedway is moving in the direction of being a completely motor cross racing track. This could be potentially the last chance to honor Ray Martin in the way we know he would want to be honored. On the dirt !!! With all his family and friends proudly cheering him and Brandon from the grandstands. October 4th and 5th at the Nationals 2 day racing event.

The family does not want to miss what could be the last chance. We are now facing another challenge. We need to get the car and family here and everything that it takes to run the car for it’s last race in Maryland at Potomac Speedway. We set a realistic goal that will cover the cost for fuel, racing fuel, admission, pit passes, and anything else that may come up during travel and racing. We have food and stay covered for Brandon, Rachel, and the girls. If there is any amount you are willing to donate please do. There is no gift too big or too small. Of course we would love for anyone to join us on 1 or both racing days.

If we surpass our goal all money will go straight into the car for future races.
