Raymond Illingworth CBE

Sadly on the 25th December 2021, Raymond died peacefully at St James Hospital.

Over the last year and a half, the Oncology Department and all its staff at the Leeds Cancer Centre at St James’ Hospital have looked after both Raymond and his late wife Shirley too. Everyone at the unit go above and beyond and do an amazing job. As a family we would love to follow Raymond’s wishes and raise funds for the Leeds Cancer Centre, which not only continues to diagnose, treat, care and support those affected by cancer but also produce life changing results and phenomenal support.

As we all know Raymond’s other major love was cricket and one of his final wishes was to support the Junior section at his beloved Farsley Cricket Club, ensuring the next generation of players had every opportunity to fulfil their sporting ambitions.

In preference to forwarding flowers, we would be extremely grateful if you could make a donation which will be equally divided between the two great causes that were so close to Raymond’s heart.
