We are heading out for a drive on Sunday 7th July in memory of our dear friend and colleague Raymond Scollon, a day out around some of his favorite places in old cars seemed a fitting way to celebrate the life of a guy legendary for his humor, fun, stories, zest for life, love of people and cars, a truly inspirational man, who touched everyone he met.

The folk involved are mostly his friends and colleagues from his days chauffeuring wedding cars, a casual job which he was absolutely passionate about.

His battle with Cancer had went on for several years and a bit over a year ago he was given the devastating news that nothing more could be done to treat his condition, incredibly in spite of this he managed to remain for the most part very positive and was still far better company than most of us lot, we are asking anyone so inclined to make a donation to Marie Curie, they were a great support to Raymond through his darkest times and also through some very happy times, when he checked in to Marie Curie before Christmas he took a nice suit in case he could make it to the Car Club night out, I’m not sure any of us expected that to happen, but he rocked up for a Curry and a Beer looking top notch as usual, part of the idea for the run is that everyone will turn up as Smart as possible, Raymond was always super smart, will be interesting to see how this works out.
