Ray's Day! A Celebration Ski Day in Memory of Ray Drewitz
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
I am raising money to support a ski day in memory of my husband, Raymond Drewitz on what would have been his 41st birthday. In April of 2024, we tragically and unexpectedly lost our beloved Ray to a brain aneurysm. Ray was a kind, fun-loving and gentle soul who was loved by so many people. As many of you know, Ray loved spending time in the mountains, especially skiing. Together, we skied all over the USA and internationally in Italy and Canada. Skiing provided us some of the most beautiful memories we shared in our 6 years together and it was how we initially met one another on a dating app while Ray was skiing at Stratton Mountain Resort and I was skiing at Bromley Mountain resort across the way. Ray was a fantastic skier, who was often seen flying down steeps, bumping through moguls and disappearing into the trees. Sometimes, he was even seen falling down while standing in the lift line, but more of those funny stories can be told by the fire as we gather to celebrate his birthday, his life and his love for snowsports. The event will be held on Saturday 2/22/25 at Berkshire East Mountain Resort in Charlemont, MA. Your contributions can help provide funding for lift tickets and gear rentals for those who want to participate who do not own gear or have a season pass. My goal is to make this event accessible for as many friends and family as possible. Contributions will also be used towards commemorative buttons and tee shirts as well as food and beverages for our Après Ski celebration. All funds that are not used towards the event will be donated to the Share Winter Foundation to improve access and create pathways to lifelong winter sports participation for future generations of skiers and riders. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation in memory of Ray.
