Ray's Recovery
Donation protected
Ray and Regina Yeager have been through a lot over the years but nothing can prepare you for this. At 40 years old, Ray suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke only two days before Christmas. It was six days before he could stand up just one time. Needless to say, the road to recovery is going to be a difficult one. Being the Superwoman that she is, Regina has managed to be at his side every step of the way while still ensuring that their sons, Nathan and Trey, are well taken care of. It was not that long ago that Regina had to forego working in order to take care of Nathan full time when he was diagnosed with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH). Adjusting to one income while paying for extensive medical care and travel costs to see the best doctors would be an impossible task for many. Ray and Regina made it look easy. Somehow they never missed a beat. Now, they are forced to adjust again and somehow maintain a household for themselves and their children on short-term disability and savings that have to be dwindling quickly. All while Ray is recovering in the hospital. We all know that Ray and Regina are the first ones to offer a helping hand. They are the first ones to provide any assistance to anyone in need. I know they have covered me more times than I’d like to admit. I am sure they have helped each and every one of you who is lucky enough to know them. So, I am asking that if you are able, in any way, to support my loving, giving, amazing, spectacular best friends, please do so. In these situations, we all feel helpless. We all feel like we do not have enough to give, enough to make a difference. But please remember, every little bit helps. Thank you with all of my heart.
