RBL Legion Hall @ Heath & Reach
Donation protected
We are the RBL Heath & Reach Club Committee, a collection of volunteers who, with past committees, have been helping run the Legion Hall serving the local community since 1967/68. Our legion hall is a historic building that was moved from Bletchley Park in the early 60's and has been used for various community purposes ever since. It is a place where we host our meetings, social events, and charity activities, as well as provide a venue for other clubs such as Pigeon Club, Yoga club, and is open to requests for hall hire.
The legion hall was in urgent need of repairs ie roof repairs due to leaking and damage to the interior and the structure of the building. The electrics were also outdated, and need to be replaced. We haad been trying to maintain the hall with our own funds and efforts, but, the costs are too high. We estimate that we need at least £8000 to fix the roof and pay the bills, and much more to cover the other maintenance & electrical rewiring costs, which will be the subject of other requests for funding in the near future. Our priority is the roof and having enough to pay our bills in the short term for now.
That is why we are reaching out to you, our friends and supporters, to help us save our legion hall. This is the first time we have ever asked for public donations, and we are grateful for any amount you can spare. Your generosity will make a huge difference to our club and our community, and will ensure that our legion hall can continue to serve as a hub of activity and a source of pride for many years to come.
