Our friend Jes needs your help! On October 4th, 2022, Jes had a major health setback from complications of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and nearly died of an infection that became septic. She was treated with antibiotics and a blood transfusion. After her hospitalization, she was moved to a rehabilitation facility to help her further heal and regain motor control of her limbs through physical therapy. There she suffered a second infection. She was then moved to yet another rehab facility.

Soon, Jes will be sent home with full-time in-home health aides that insurance caps at 62 hours a week. She currently needs 24/7 care and an in-home physiotherapist. Jes is on a very limited disability income and does not have the funds to cover the additional out-of-pocket expenses needed for her care and recovery.

Jes needs help covering the following costs:

Hydrotherapy not covered by insurance

Medication co-pays and additional supplements

Premade meals and grocery delivery

Despite the debilitating onset of MS at 32, Jes continues to give back to others, including caring for her ailing mother until she passed away last year. With no family now to care for her, it is up to us as a community to step in and show her through our actions, including financial donations, how much we support her wellbeing!

Prior to her diagnosis of MS, Jes worked in computer graphics and was a certified scuba diver, also trained in search and recovery. She is passionate about ocean conservation and sharing her love of the ocean with children so that they, too, feel compelled to protect its inhabitants. She rescues cats and wants to do more to help animals. Let’s get Jes back to her baseline so that she can continue to pursue her dreams of inspiring the next generation.
