RBWH NICU parent cuddle chairs

The Royal Brisbane Womans Hospital, Neonatal Intense Care Unit (NICU) is for very sick and premmie babies.

While in NICU skin to skin (kangaroo) cuddles have been medically proven to benefit these little miracles, not to mention what it does for the Parents that are living this roller coaster journey.

The Unit does not have enough of these special recliners, they have to have medical grade leather and cost $1800 each.

Parents wanting cuddles have to at times wait until chairs become available, I thought this was unacceptable and decided to do something about it.

We are doing several things to fundraise but lots of people who could not attend in person wanted a way to donate to this great cause.

This page has been set up with appropriate approval from the RBWH, NICU and all money will be for the sole purpose of purchasing more chairs for parents and babies to utilise.
