RCP's Book Campaign

Help us prepare Richmond College Prep students to become life-long readers!!
RCP is currently a TK through 6th grade, Title I charter school located in Richmond, California and will be expanding to 7th and 8th grade over the next two years. Historically, we have experienced great academic success from our hardworking scholars, and our goal is to continue this success, but we need your help!
Next year, Richmond College Prep will be launching an engaging reading program called Readers Workshop. While using the Readers Workshop model, teachers will create a reading environment that encourages students to be active, life-long, critical thinkers and readers. In order for our students to truly be successful, every class must have a complete library with leveled, high-interest books.
Our hope is that we will begin the 2017-2018 school year with a new library for every classroom. We want every child to have access to interesting books that connect to our students’ diverse cultural backgrounds and varying interests. We are working with an organization that will select books that are tailored to our community. The cost of a full library for every classroom will be around $75,000 in total. While we plan to use some of our reserved money, we still need your help. By donating to our cause, you are supporting our efforts to create life-long readers.
Anything helps and everything is appreciated!
