Dear Friends,
My friend and former First Pres. coworker, Jessie Maddox, was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma - a cancer affecting his bones. For the past 25 years, Jessie has walked the halls of FPCO with a smile and encouraging word. Unfortunately, as a result of his treatment, he has had to stop working. All of us have been touched by this horrible disease in some way and know the toll it takes not only physically, but financially...especially with a loss of income.
As many of you know, this is personal for our family as well. As the wife of a cancer survivor, we are aware not only of the realities of this disease, but also the kindness and generosity of others in a time of need. Friends, I am humbly asking you to kindly lend your support to Jessie and his family with his medical and daily expenses. Any amount that you feel led to give, would be greatly appreciated.
To my FPCO family, I am especially asking you to rally around Jessie as a community through your support financially or emotionally. Most importantly, Jessie has asked for your prayers more than anything as he undergoes treatment.
