Donations for Deanna

Deanna Balerno Ireland is the embodiment of life. Her smile is contagious. Her laugh is infectious. She’s everyone’s favorite friend, Zumba partner, and crafter. She goes above and beyond for her friends and family, and now it is our turn to do the same for her.

This year, Deanna and her loving husband, Bob, expected a new addition to their family – Giuliana Marie Ireland, whom they welcomed to the world on Tuesday, January 12th. What they weren’t expecting was a cancer diagnosis.

Days before their beautiful baby girl arrived, Deanna was diagnosed with an incredibly aggressive and rare form of cancer – stage 3B inflammatory breast cancer. She is only 31 years old.

Early months of parenthood will now look completely different for Deanna and Bob. Deanna began aggressive chemotherapy treatment on Monday, January 25th, less than two weeks after giving birth to Giuliana. After chemotherapy is complete, Deanna will undergo surgery and further treatment. Bob is now the sole income earner and is running into roadblocks qualifying for FMLA.

She and her family have an incredibly tough road ahead, however, in true Deanna fashion, they are already handling it with positivity, dignity, and grace. Deanna is ready to fight through an unfair battle. One that no one chooses, but only the strong are dealt.
