Help Debra and Walter Shine

Donation protected
Friends, my beloved friend Debra Shine and her husband Walter need your help. In 2020, Debra was diagnosed with an incurable disease, lymphedema, which has impaired her mobility and impeded her ability to run her business. Almost one year later her husband, Walter, was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure. Debra, in her debilitated state, is Walters’ sole caregiver. Nearly two years into this devastating circumstance, they are in financial need. Please, please, give what you can today.

Debra and Walter continue with the challenge of not being able to earn an income due their to inability to work. Not only is Debra trying to maintain her own complex health regimen but she is also administering Walters’ dialysis treatment which is taking her about 5 hours to complete every day. At this time, they are just trying to get through each day.

Their Love Story:
Debra and Walter met in September 2001 on the Golden Gate Transit in San Rafael, California while returning home from work. Debra has had a lifetime commitment to not owning a car. They became fast friends as they discovered they each had a passion for contributing to their community. They married in 2008 and have been deeply devoted to each other these many years.

Their Contributions
Debra has been an incredible entrepreneur her entire career. Her reach and experience spans 44 years in Sales, Marketing & Business Consulting, Business Consultant for 22 years, owner of 4 successful businesses, authored a $1.2 million grant for the Marin County CA to reduce car trips, produced annual International Women's Day Events and much much more until COVID and her illness.

Walter has been an incredible Entrepreneur, Speaker, and Community Leader. A veteran who served on the Navy Honor Guard at the White House for three years, he advocates for families, communities and gives rise to new leaders with integrity. He was President of Toastmaster International for six years and Founder of the Fatherhood Project in San Francisco to reunite fathers with their children. He has been a spokesperson on the Black Renaissance TV show on Channel 44 in San Francisco/Bay area. He also created a Foster Care Kinship Program for black foster parents and produced Black History Month In San Rafael California, where he received the Excellence in Leadership Award. He has made a huge difference in the lives of many, and has a lot more to give!

Your contribution today, will help Debra and Walter to pay for their ongoing and expensive medical bills as well as help them to pay their daily, monthly living expenses while they strive to overcome these devastating circumstances. Thank you and love to you all.❤️
