Harper’s Adoption!
Donation protected
I’ve always known I wanted to be a mom. I knew I wanted to adopt from the time that I was in high school. I knew I wanted to adopt from foster care soon after I graduated from college. Last year in the midst of a pandemic I got to adopt my first daughter, Lexi. She has changed my world in so many ways that I can’t even begin to describe. I love her more than I’ve ever loved anything in the world and even though there have been rough minutes and scary seconds I wouldn’t trade her for anything in the world.
Since Lexi’s adoption I have been blessed to be able to be a short term stay for 5 other children that have had their lives turned upside down in foster care. This July our sixth came to us. Due to traumatic circumstances she is not able to be reunited with her family, but we are so excited to welcome her into ours. I feel so lucky that I am going to get to help raise her and Lexi is excited to have another little sister.
When I adopted Lexi I worked at a much bigger company than I do now and they offered adoption assistance. The company helped pay for Lexi‘s adoption which was a huge blessing! I no longer work at that company, and the company I am at now it’s too small to offer that kind of assistance. The lawyers rates are less because I don’t have assistance, however he does still charge some.
If you would be willing to donate a few dollars to help us finalize Harper’s new place in our family we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for your support and even more for your prayers! We love you all!
