BRING MY DAD HOME 

Dear Friends

My name is Polo. I am a service dog living in Lakeville, PA. 

During the pandemic on January 28, 2020, I started a group on Facebook called “Polo at Work,” with over 12,000 people from around the world to help cheer up with my smile. 

I am writing to tell you about a fundraiser for my dad John P, and I hope you will consider reading his story.

On 06/12/2021, John P., my human dad, suffered a massive stroke. He had to have a section of his skull removed due to swelling. He has also sustained mini-strokes since.  John P has been at home since being taken care of by my mom Lisa and is anxiously anticipating having his skull replaced in 3-4 weeks.

At the time, she had to temporarily shut down her grooming business, restrict her kennel duties to regulars, and take on a lot. 

As of 2/21/2022, My mom is stressed out because everything is overwhelming her. 

On 03/24/2022: My dad underwent surgery to replace the skull section removed from the stroke. Mom, on the other hand, has been balancing everything daily.

On 06/05/2022: My dad tried to open the door for my brother Merlin via his new bed that stood up. He took two steps and fell and broke his hip. He had surgery on 06/06/2022 ♡♡♡

On 07/02/2022: My dad came home! He's doing well with his recovery/therapy..

On 07/07/2022, Lake Wallenpaupack Church did a fundraiser to have a ramp installed at our house through donations.

Here we are one year later. My human Mom has hired a carpenter so that he can make improvements in the house so that m dad can see different scenery daily. The carpenter has had doors made that are wheelchair accessible; he's installed a ramp in the home, he's established a handicapped bathroom.

We have been able to accomplish so much because of all of you! What a blessing!

The benefit of continuing to donate to our go-fund is to help my mom take care of my human dad with his medical expenses for every little $ helps. 

My main objective is to continue to make my dad more comfortable!

All gifts received will be used exclusively for these things, and we currently do a GoFundMe to assist.
