Kia ora. Tena koutou katoa. Hello. Greetings to all of you. My name is Jay Blazek, and I am a youth clinician in Nelson, New Zealand. My work focuses on promoting mental and physical well-being for Maori and American Indian young people, realizing indigenous worldviews in both cultures to comprehensively understand the mind/body connection in promoting good health. Struggling myself as a youth with alcohol and other drug dependency, I have dedicated my work-life to working with young people as I feel this is a critical period of development. I am planning a 70-day Northern American Bike Tour in 2023 through 20 Native American communities to promote cultural, behavioral (exercise and nutrition) and sustainable environmental practices. We will be providing bikes and hosting activities with the communities. We are raising funds to purchase bikes and associated gear, as well as rent an RV and travel expenses. Your contribution may be tax-deductible, as we are registered 501c3 non-profit. The whole team supporting this event, myself included, is voluntary, dedicating thousands of hours to make this a success. Please help provide opportunities for our greatest asset, our young people. Thank you so very much! Check out our website: https://www.nait4hyp.com for more information.
*Donation levels: $250-entry-level bike, $100-quality helmet and $50-safety kit/gear.
