Reaching out to our DOG LOVING COMMUNITY for help!

We're reaching out to the San Diego DOG LOVING COMMUNITY to raise $5,000. We hope you will take a moment to read about our journey and support our work.
Over the last decade, Lucky Pup Dog Rescue has advocated and helped many Southern California dogs in some pretty untraditional ways. Founded in 2011 by dog lovers, Christine and Steve Haslet, Christine a retired RN, Mister Steve a retired Army Captain and wedding officiant. We both absolutely adore dogs and have been blessed to be able to follow our passion.
As a small neighborhood volunteer organization, we have rescued several hundred dogs from high kill shelters in Southern California. We've made dozens upon dozens of small grants to other tiny local rescues in need. We have leveraged our social media platforms to help owners rehome their dogs safely. We have collected and redistributed pet food and supplies in our San Diego community. Our rescue has a "Life Time Promise ~ Always a home" for any dog that we've placed ~ to be returned to us at anytime, no questions asked.
We have also been on the front line as animal activists, just recently winning a lawsuit against LA County Animal Shelter for their practice of killing animals based on an arbitrary labeling of dogs they deem having behavior issues, instead of releasing them to 501c3 rescues who would rehab them at their own expense as the California Hayden Law requires. ( A heartfelt thank you to Sheldon Eisenberg and his team)
We are currently working on a lawsuit to help those families that had their dogs horribly abused by a local dog trainer, who was running an illegal kennel from her home in Vista, California. Sadly, San Diego Animal Control knew of the abuse for many months and did nothing to stop it.
It wasn't until we began working hand in hand with Bryan Pease and Parisa Ijadi-Maghsoodi of PeaseLaw.org that we could make headway to close her down and stop the abuse. We are currently working to bring justice for those families who were harmed. We have a restraining order against the abuser who recently closed her business in Vista. We have a LONG way to go, as she has set up shop again in another state.
Bryan and Parisa have jumped in and given 110% to make this justice a reality for these victims. To say this has been a tough case would be a gross understatement. There have been harassment suits filed against the victims that have been dismissed and ongoing bizarre harassment from the defendant that has required extra work beyond the scope of what one would expect. Bryan and Parisa have been there every step of the way to support the victims.
We have a website with the details about our case: www.PerfectPupsOhanaEXPOSED.com set up for the case.
We are looking to raise $5000 for our BASIC CIVIL COURT COSTS! Case filings, depositions, motions, process servers, court reporters. Any amount is appreciated.
Our next court date is scheduled for April 5th 2024. We are hoping this happen, however we have some documents that must be served first. Judge Whitney, San Diego Superior Court 330 West Broadway 5th floor. 2pm April 5th Friday.
