Purpose: Working relationship with Head Start Programs and Learning Centers in the community and surrounding areas. The mission of Read Like a Hero is to inspire a passion for reading among all children, provided quality content to create impact, and engaging communities in the solution to give every child the fundamental building blocks for success. Read Like a Hero provides interactive storytelling, book reading, social emotional learning activities for children and engages children, parents, and communities in reading and motivational activities to encourage a lifelong love of reading. Reading is fun and has many benefits, regardless of your age. It's a key component of education and professional development. It also has immediate and long-lasting health benefits such as increased cognitive function, memory, and vocabulary
The desired outcomes of Read Like a Hero:
help children get to know sounds, words and language, and develop early literacy skills
teach children to value books and stories
spark imagination and stimulate curiosity
help children develop brain, ability to focus, concentration, social skills and communication skills
help children learn the difference between ‘real’ and ‘make-believe’
help children understand new or frightening events, and the strong emotions that come with them
help children learn about the world, their own culture and other cultures.

Your sponsorship would provide us with the means necessary to reach more children, and provide more heroes. Financial donations will allow us to purchase books, costumes, backdrops, props, merchandise, gear, and clothing to give away to children and other individuals who are less fortunate.
