Read to a Donkey

Have you ever been the child in school so afraid to read out loud that you picked the shortest sentence or paragraph and broke you arm to get selected? I have.... and even through we rescue donkeys we have become a sanctuary for humans that need a non-judgemental friend. We have started our "read to a donkey" program for children's literacy - our young visitors visit the donkeys to socialize and many set for a bit and work on their language and reading skills by reading to their furry friends. We are a sanctuary for donkeys but we are now fundraising for a space to hold our reading program that is handicap accessible for all visitors. Our goal is $50,000 and this is outside our annual operations budget so we will be working on this for a while - any amount will help our cause!
