Hello, my name is Kierra Lopez Robinson. I have built myself a portable little library that I will travel around the city of El Paso, TX with so that anyone may come and take or leave a book. The focus of my library is children’s books discussing race, identity, culture, and diversity. The purpose is to open up and allow for conversation about these issues. Allowing our youth to form and express their own feelings & opinions rather than projecting ours onto them. I believe our current education system is failing them in these areas. These crucial conversations are not happening in the classroom so it is our duty to educate, uplift them, and make sure they are heard. I am open to any conversation.
