Ready for Change: Bernie Coulson’s Fight For Life

At the age of 57, well-known Canadian actor Bernie Coulson is in the toughest, most important fight of his life: battling opioid addiction.

STEP ONE: Voluntary Detox

As of January 14, 2023, Bernie has decided to enter a multi-day detoxification program. This is the first crucial step he must voluntarily take towards recovery from his addiction; and, this detox is required for Bernie to be eligible to enter any addiction treatment program.

BUT DETOX ISN’T TREATMENT

In just a few days if he doesn’t have a treatment programme to enter immediately after detox, his likelihood of relapse is sky-high and the detox itself will hugely increase his risk of fatal overdose.

STEP TWO: TREATMENT

A private full spectrum facility is the only treatment option that could have success with Bernie’s complex needs.
