Real Life Hero Nurse

While waiting in line at a local food truck, Jasmine was the victim of a drive-by shooting that injured 2 other people. As a graduate of Ross Medical Education Center, Jasmine began using her training to administer life saving CPR and first aid to another victim until Police Officers arrived. Jasmine was shot in her left arm, causing damage to the brachial artery, requiring a 5-hour surgery. She has yet to regain sensation and mobility in her arm. She most likely will require additional surgery to correct issues with the nerve fibers.
Jasmine is a widowed mother of 3, who was simply at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Her injuries will require a minimum 4-6 week hospital and rehabilitation stay. Jasmine will then need several months of Occupational and Physical Therapy before she will fully recover. She is currently continuing her nursing education to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) and will now require significant time off from school to recover. Please consider donating to off-set medical expenses and loss of wages while she recovers.
