Real Good Rescue 2022 Holiday Fundraising Event

Hello Friends, Family & Supporters!

It's that time of year when we gather to celebrate all the dogs who have been saved, rehabilitated and adopted because of our incredible community of supporters like you.

December 10, 20221:00pm - 5:00pmPrivate Residence + Hollywood Hills, CA (address will be emailed with your RSVP confirmation).

Please join us for live music, tacos, cocktails and activities for the kids.

Individuals - minimum donation of $175

Couples & families - minimum donation of $275

Special donation - minimum donation of $2,500 will receive a pet portrait session with editorial and advertising photographer Shayan Asgharnia (must be in Los Angeles, only two sessions available).

100% of donations will go directly to Real Good Rescue and be tracked through this GoFundMe page.

Because Real Good Rescue's main focus is on the senior and medical dogs in our local shelters, our costs for vetting each dog are on the higher end, with an average minimum cost of $1,500 per dog, but not limited to $25,000 per dog.

Here's a breakdown of how your donation will benefit the dogs of

Real Good Rescue:

$100 - 1 month of food for 1 dog

$150 - gas and transport costs from getting a dog from the shelter, to the vet and into a foster home

$250 - 2 large crates

$350 - initial supplies - crate, crate mat, bed, supplements, collar, leash

$550 - initial vetting; including spay/ neuter, microchip and vaccines for 1 dog

$1000 - initial vetting, including spay/ neuter, microchip and vaccines, supplies - crate, crate mat, bed, supplements, collar, leash and 1 month of food for 1 dog.

$2000 - one month of boarding for one dog

$3500 - 4 weeks of board and train for 1 dog

Other - because RGR wants to be sure all dogs are also behaviorally vetted before placing them in a home, some dogs have required professional assessment along with boarding due to not having the appropriate foster or adopter. Jeff, for example, has been in boarding with professional trainers and with a paid foster, with a total of $18,000 spent thus far (not including supplies or medical care). Betty, one of our medical dogs, had her first hip replacement on 11.15.22 with an $11,000 price tag. She'll have the second hip replacement in 8-12 weeks for another $11,000 (this does not include her spay surgery or initial medical vetting and supplies).
