Amanda Ream was an avid Cross Fit fan, a talented gardener and cook, a passionate prankster with a wonderful and ever-ready sense of humor, and a deeply devoted mother to two boys, ages 9 and 11. In April of 2018, Amanda was diagnosed with a rare and aggressively growing form of Stage IV neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer, an illness that kills 93% of the people who have it within five years. After a year of treatments and surgeries, which Amanda braved with impossible grace, optimism and beauty, she passed away in early April of 2019, surrounded by loving family and friends. Her husband, Robert, and sons now face the coming months and years without Amanda, the center of their family.
Since her diagnosis, Amanda and Robert leaned on friends and family to care for their two boys and take care of the many household tasks required of family life. It has been an expensive journey, and unfortunately the financial burden remains; the family needs help with childcare expenses, medical bills, memorial costs, and more. What Robert and the boys also need is time to grieve and be together, to find their footing; let's come together and give them this time by helping financially so that Robert can take time away from work to be present with his own and his family's needs.
Thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
