Help Reb Bledsaw Play Baseball this Summer

Donation protected
My name is Derrick Meador. I am the superintendent and baseball coach at Jennings Public Schools. Reb is a 3rd grader who serves as our manager on our football, basketball, and baseball teams. Reb had been asking me if he could hit in a junior high baseball game and we were able to make that happen last week.

Reb's mom explained to me a few weeks ago that she couldn't afford for Reb to play little league baseball this year due to fuel costs and unreliable transportation. The boys on the team love Reb. He works extremely hard as the manager and we wanted to reward him and give him his moment. I had no idea what would happen going into it, but I was able to give him that moment last week in a game against Glencoe. Reb walked on four pitches, stole 2nd, move to 3rd on a base hit, and scored with the slide of the year on a passed ball. The boys on the team mobbed him which made the moment even more special.

The funds will be used to provide transportation for Reb to get to practice and games for his Summer little league season. His family appreciates the support and generosity of everyone.
