Living Life on the Edge
"Verily, verily, I say unto you... Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit." John 12:21
"Living Life on the Edge" is a broadcast quality documentary series about law enforcement heroes that will begin by memorializing and telling the story of the life and legacy of slain interdiction legend Capt. Robbie Bishop of Georgia. Robbie was a husband and father of 2 who was gunned down while serving and protecting his community on January 20, 1999. The impact of his relentless and legendary crime fighting career continues to resonate globally, as evidenced by the formation of a fraternal brotherhood of law men and law women comprising the National Criminal Enforcement Association, an organization created in his memory now surpassing 7000 members.
We are Co-Producers Justin Webb and Ty Towriss, both Producers of video content in the Atlanta market. We've been working toward the goal of getting this project accomplished for over 2 years. We've come so far now. We need that last ditch drive to carry this project into the final phases of production.
We seek funding to make this happen. It requires some heavy lifting for continuing the work filming high quality re-enactments, hours and weeks of writing and archival research, video/audio post production, CGI production, and then navigating a sea of distribution possibilities. Also we believe this documentary could one day lead to a feature length theatrical release.
As you will see in our pitch video, we the producers are experienced in television production with many awards to our credit (22 Regional Emmys, 28 Tellys, a Promax Gold Medallion, and 2 Beacons). We are skilled craftsmen of the trade performing much of the technical and creative work ourselves.
We are deep into our own pockets and funds are running thin. To put our lives fully into this and to tell this story in an entertaining genre making it worth your time, we need your help. We would like to have this 1st episode finished in Summer of 2017, therefore we need to raise funds now.
We believe this documentary series will positively inspire people while honoring and encouraging our men and women in blue who heroically fight the good fight within our communities... just like Captain Robbie Bishop.
