Run in memory of Rebecca Cheptegei
Donation protected
We have all been shocked by the tragic killing of Rebecca Cheptegei, a talented runner most recently seen at the Paris Olympics. Cheptegei was killed at the hands of an ex-boyfriend - a situation still sickeningly common across the world.
I am raising money in Cheptegei's memory through the activity most publicly connected with her: running. I will run the half-marathon Egeskovløbet, here in the North of Denmark, where I live, on November 3rd 2024, in her honour.
The money will be donated to StrongMinds, a charity providing support to women in low-income countries through treating the debilitating condition of depression. StrongMinds uses an evidence-based intervention that has been shown cost-effectively reduce depression symptoms in randomized controlled trials.
StrongMinds is judged by charity evaluators like Founder's Gate as a highly cost-effective and impactful choice for donation in the women's sector for improving quality of life.
Thank you for all your support.
